Why attend DEFI? Here's what a previous student has to say: "My experience there two years ago was one I will never forget, and many of the DEFI community (students and staff alike) are friends I'm still in touch with. For those of you looking into this, I can say that DEFI is a unique opportunity to hone your French skills, grow close to friends that will become very dear, and be surrounded and nurtured in a Christian environment--making wonderful memories the whole way. I still remember "courbatures" from juggling attempts and interesting experiences involving makeshift Thanksgiving plans, salsa dancing, speaking frengledeutsch, and unexpected weekends ending on mountaintops...but I do leave you with a word of warning: attendance may cause tears upon departure!"
